Slowtwitch.com Reviews the Trek Equinox TTX 9.5  01/28/2010

Slowtwitch.com Review the Trek Equinox TTX 9.5

Dan Empfield, known for being a tough critic, has written a great review of the TTX 9.5 and the Project One program.  Here are a few of his comments.

“One thing I really like about this [Project one] process is that the bike comes exactly as you need it, with the right gearing, the right stem length and pitch, and—though you may not think this important—the right length cables and casings for the stem option you’ve chosen.”

“If a Trek Equinox TTX is on that list [of bikes that conform to a rider’s geometric needs], Trek will build you this bike, with the right stem, and the proper length cables and casings. You won’t have to sub-out / sub-in cogs or chainrings, saddles, aerobars, what have you, because, like Burger King, Trek thinks you should Have It Your Way.

The warm weather is awesome it has been above 40 for a few days now and I am super stoked….yesterday Marky Mark, AccuMatt, pops, and I did a nice ride…it turned out to be just about 5 hours for me.  less than 3 months until battenkill so gotta do work.  It felt so good to be in the sun and not be freezing I hope this trend hangs around for a while. 2010 is here

January 12th, 2010

Over the last 2 years I have been very bad at keeping this blog up to date but this year I am going to try and keep it going.  new bikes from Trek and Gary fisher are out and will be in the shop early this spring.  The Trek Madone is redesigned lighter and stiffer, and the best 29 er MTb’s in the game from Fisher are ready to roll for 2010.  New for this season we will be having indoor training rides in the shop a few nights a week starting next week call or email for more info.  this way you can suffer through riding the trainer with company and get a leg up on the season…….Marky Mark J dog and I have started base last week ans despite the cold I got 15 hrs in last week.  it supposed to be in the high 30s this week so that should be nice….while all the big dogs do the training in Tucson the real men of cycling suffer through the cold of the north east…actually I am just jealous to ride just one layer of clothes would be awesome…….
