Alberto Contador’s Trek Madone

May 30th, 2008

The Giro is our favorite tour by far. The acction is non-stop and everyoneis motovated due to the earlyness in the season. Besides, who could go wrong with a cesta and the leader’s pink jersey – pink is so choice.

Cyclingnews has a great write up of Alberto Contador’s Madone. Being a Trek dealer we fully approve his choice of ride and are cheering Alberto on as he rides his Made-in-the-U.S.A. rocket to the finish line in Milano.

This would be the part of the blog where I would insert a picture, but forwhatever reason, the computer isn’t working with me today…you’ll have to stop by to check out our Madones or hit the link and read about Alerto’s bike.

Memorial Day Weekend

May 28th, 2008

Not so bad for my first holiday weekend….things are going well and I had to bring in my boy jay to help me out on weekends.  We are usually getting lost in some strange part of the country looking for a race or a hotel or something but….to kick off the weekend Jay had some friends come up for a bachelor party and they planed to earn there night out… on the trails with jay i hope they had a good time????

On sunday I did my second sunday morning world championships aka the sunday group ride and I was super stoked to see how many people showed up.  It was an awesome day and despite a flat in the parking lot as we rolled off the ride was good I had some serious fun…..I wonder who the points leader is??? a heated battle erupted over the town lines…for anyone that wants to ride we leave the shop at 9:00 sunday morning…the ride can be spicy at times but we re group at all intersections and no one is left behind……..

First Time….

May 21st, 2008

So lately I have encountered a lots of firsts….It is the first time that I actually own the shop I work at….its the first time in my life that I am faced with real responsibility…its is the first time in years that I haven’t raced like 10-15 races by now….its the first time I have ever attempted to blog…and yesterday I took my wife Kimber for her first ride in clip less pedals…..Let me back up a bit.  For the past few years i have been working in shops and in the bicycle industry to support my habit of professional bike racing.  Last season was my best season ever….I managed to race on the US national Team at the Mont Saint Anne world cup in Canada and witness the Euro speed first hand.  I finished up 18th nationally and we only lost one bike on the thruway….fast forward to Jan 08.  I started my base training as usual and after a few weeks of training I was presented with a golden opportunity, the chance to have a shop of my own.  After too many phone calls, emails, meetings and many long destressing miles I along with my Family amthe proud owner of Table Rock Tours and bicycles.    The weather is getting nice the shop is remodeled and full of rad bikes from Trek (thats right we our now a Trek dealer) Santa Cruz, Redline and Lynskey and they are all in need of a good home.  We have a Sunday morning group ride that leaves to shop at 9 and there will be more to follow..we are also getting ready for a great season of racing….team clothing is on its way so stop by if your interested…..thats enough for my first blog I don’t want to over do it plus I had to work today on my day off so I am sleepy….and I need to get up early and rip around some trails on my new blur…….
